Правила доменов .MZ
The .mz extension is the Internet country code top level domain (ccTLD) for Mozambique, a country located on the lower south-eastern side of the African continent. CIEUM (The Centre for Informatics at the University Eduardo Mondlane) started to govern and manage the name space for the .mz top level domain from 1993 onwards.
In Mozambique, a private individual cannot register a personal domain name but organizations and institutions (constituted inside or out of the country) have the permission to register under a registered trademark. While creating a domain name, it is best to use shorter and user-friendly domain names. Companies can create multiple domain names.
Sub domains can be created for .mz domain names. Some of the subdomains used by entities are:
- .org.mz for organizations
- .co.mz for commercial organizations
- .gov.mz for government departments in Mozambique
- .edu.mz for educational institutions
At the time of registration, a domain name needs at least two DNS servers. You can select the servers of your own, if not CIUEM will set up your network
connection to the Internet. If the registrant does not make regular use of the new domain name with .mz registration sanctioned by CIUEM within a period of ninety days, then the applicant must hand over the domain name to CIEUM. |
